The representation will include assisting the County’s Risk Management Coordinator and third party administrator with evaluation of claims, appearances at mediations, Board of Magistrate hearings, and all levels of appeals on behalf of the County, and consultation with the Trustees on matters related to settlement and disposition of claims. A selected firm will represent the County in resolving workers’ compensation claims filed by County employees as directed by the County’s Risk Management Coordinator. There is no assurance that selection as counsel for Genesee County will result in any minimum number of case referrals. Genesee County Risk Management, in consultation with the Corporation Counsel and the Controller, will be responsible for the referral of cases.
