Summary of Specifications:
Genesee County currently offers a pharmacy benefit program to its employees, retirees and dependents through a self funded PBM arrangement. Both Actives and Retirees receive benefits through one PBM administrator; the Active plan contract expires on June 30, 2015 and the EGWP+Wrap plan contract expires on December 31, 2015. Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the County seeks to identify a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) to provide high-quality programs, comprehensive clinical support, effective administration and account management services, and best-in-class customer service for retail network, mail order and specialty pharmacy services. The selected vendor will be financially competitive and will support the County’s health care strategy and vision by demonstrating its capabilities to provide the services listed in this RFP, and provide the administrative and technical support to ensure that the Genesee County employees, retirees and their eligible dependents continue to receive cost effective Pharmacy Benefits through its PBM partner. The Successful Proposer will maintain a network of Participating Pharmacies in Southeastern and Central (Genesee and surrounding counties) Michigan with nationwide reciprocity to serve eligible members of the group health plan.
