RFP-CC-15-043 - RFP #15-043 Repair Locomotive Boiler

Summary of Specifications:
152 has been stored inside the railroad’s shop since leaving service and the locomotive has been stripped of piping and appliances to allow for a boiler survey which has been completed. Currently the engine is being prepped for boiler removal and to start work on the running gear 

SERVICES 

1. The work to be performed includes but is not limited to the following: • Replacement of lower knuckle of front tube sheet • Flush patch or buildup in 2nd course belly • Flush patch or buildup in 3rd course belly • Replacement steam dome • Replacement of entire rear tube sheet and knuckle • Replacement of entire door sheet and knuckle • Replacement of door opening as dictated by removal of door sheet • Further investigation of crown sheet. • Address any additional defects as discovered and document with a change order signed by both parties. • Form 4 Completion and submission • See Attachment A Inspection Report for additional details of required repairs
