Summary of Specifications:
The Grand Traverse County Road Commission is accepting bids for the replacement of existing fire suppression piping and related items at the following location.
The Grand Traverse County Road Commission main office at 1881 LaFranier Rd. Traverse City, MI 49696
A. Truck parking building B. Cold storage building
I. Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities: Grand Traverse County Road Commission; Traverse City:
A. Removal and replacement of the existing fire suppression piping and pipe suspension/mounting hardware from the main valve to all sprinkler heads within the truck parking building. All piping, valves and sprinklers will be replaced with galvanized parts where applicable. MILD STEEL AND/OR STEEL PARTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
B. Removal and replacement of the existing fire suppression piping and pipe suspension/mounting hardware from the main valve to all sprinkler heads within the cold storage building. Piping has been replaced within the extended roofing area to the south of the building; this area will not be included in the project. All piping, valves and sprinklers will be replaced with galvanized parts where applicable. MILD STEEL AND/OR STEEL PARTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
A walk through of the areas to be maintained will be held September 8, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Grand Traverse County Road Commission facility in Traverse City.
The Grand Traverse County Road Commission will dispose of all steel piping and related parts.
All bids must include proof of liability insurance with the Grand Traverse County Road Commission listed as additionally insured.
Sealed bids MUST be clearly marked with item and name of company. Bids are due and will be opened September 14, 2015 at 3:00pm.
Awarding of Bid – Bids will be awarded at the Regular Board meeting on September 24, 2015.
