The Charter Township of Grand Blanc is seeking a qualified contractor with demonstrated abilities to provide lawn mowing services on all Township owned properties and provide on-call ordinance mowing services for our Code Enforcement Division.
The chosen contractor shall have a proven track record of managing large contracts, preferably with Municipalities. The contractor should currently have adequate staff, equipment, and resources to provide lawn mowing services on more than 15 sites in the Township and respond to 150 mowing violations on average throughout the year when called upon by the Township Code Enforcement Officer.
In addition to the above statement, the chosen contractor must also be able to maintain a safe work environment providing employees with adequate personal protection equipment, and the necessary training to teach employees how to work along roadsides where high levels of traffic are frequently experienced (i.e. along expressway entrances and other busy roadways).
To be considered for this contract, a contractor must be able to execute a multi-year contract; attend progress meetings and effectively communicate with Township staff; retain and acquire the necessary resources to complete the work as outlined in this document; and acquire and maintain general liability, vehicle, and workers compensation insurance as outlined in the document.
