Summary of Specifications:
This project consists of work at: Macomb County Freedom Hill 14900 Metropolitan Parkway, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48312 a. Project consists of: (ARCHITECTURAL) 1. Removal and replacement of ceiling grid in acoustical tile in Kitchen area and removal and replacement of gypsum board ceiling in Storage Room. 2. Infill with masonry (brick & block) in areas with removed mechanical equipment/grilles/diffusers, etc. 3. New epoxy paint floor, walls and ceiling finishes in existing Mechanical Room and Kitchen walls. 4. Demolition of a portion of the existing tongue and groove wood deck and installation of a new roof hatch and steel ladder. 5. Installation of a new rooftop HVAC unit with flashing of new curb into the existing BUR. 6. Reinforcement of the existing wood truss system to accommodate new rooftop HVAC equipment.
b. Project consists of: (MECHANICAL) DEMOLITION 1. Air cooled condensing unit, and refrigerant piping. 2. Air handling unit, including, outside air duct, and supply/return air ducts to the points shown on the demo plan M1.1. All connecting heating pipes to be removed. 3. Hot water boiler, including floor mounted pumps, expansion tank, chemical treatment tank, boiler stack, and all hot water heating supply, and heating return pipes inside the mechanical room. 4. Ceiling mounted unit heater, and connecting pipes.
NOTE: Existing water heater, all connecting pipes to remain. All supply/return air ducts outside the mechanical room connecting to supply air diffusers, registers to remain.
NEW WORK 1. One roof mounted gas heating, electric cooling unit, and connecting supply/return air ducts to the existing supply/return air ducts. 2. One hot water boiler, including, two in line circulating pumps, expansion tank, air separator and all hot water heating supply and heating return pipes inside the mechanical room. Boiler combustion air and flue pipes. 3. One ceiling mounted unit heater and connecting pipes. 4. DDC temperature controls, and interfacing with the building management system.
NOTE: Air and water balancing will be provided by Owner.
c. Project consists of: (ELECTRICAL) 1. Removal of existing power sources serving mechanical equipment removed by mechanical trades. 2. Provision of new power sources for new mechanical equipment. 3. Removal and replacement of existing lighting fixtures, where required to accommodate the installation of new mechanical ductwork. 4. Removal and reinstallation of existing smoke detectors or security devices on the ceilings scheduled to be removed and replaced.
