Summary of Specifications:
The Macomb County Purchasing Department will be receiving sealed Proposals from a Michigan Licensed Insurance provider for services, plan designs, and coverage related to Health Maintenance Plans and Prescription Drug Plans.
The contract will be for one year, renewable for two (2) additional one (1) year extensions provided that both parties agree to the extensions under the same terms and conditions as exist in the current Contract.
The scope of the proposal is limited to the services, plan designs, and coverage described in this Request for Proposal. Respondents may submit alternative plan designs or administrative proposals ONLY if they first submit a HMO Plan/Prescription Drug Plan proposal based on our current plan design(s) in response to this RFP.
Proposals will only be accepted directly from Insurance Companies and our current providers. Macomb County is not accepting any Proposals from agents, brokers, consultants, or otherwise independent sales representatives. Proposals are not to include any commissions or recognize any agent or broker as representing the County.
The successful bidder will be required to participate in Macomb County’s SMARTe system, and pay the Implementation Cost of $3,750.00. This amount will be due from the successful bidder upon notification from Macomb County of the award decision.
