The Muskegon County Board of Commissioners invites your proposal on Brown’s Pond Repair and Retrofit Project for the Muskegon County Department of Public Works.
The base bid consists principally of: Remove 4175 s.f. of asphalt roadway, remove top of enclosed spillway, remove and replace 300’ of chain link fence, remove brush and trees on embankment, 80 c.y. fill at embankment crest, patch and repair 330 s.f. of spalled concrete, construct concrete spillway walls, and place steel reinforcement, embedded angles, footbridge and railings; with all associated removals and appurtenances included in the bid documents.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Interested parties will meet at the dam site, as shown on location maps included in the bid documents. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is required to submit a valid bid.
Vendor registration, as well as the request for proposal materials, is available on the Bid Net website at www.bidnetdirect.com. Proposals are due in the Muskegon County Purchasing Office, Central Services Building, 141 E. Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, no later than 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2017. No late proposals will be accepted. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, reserves the right to waive formalities and to take such action as it deems necessary in the best interest of the County of Muskegon.
