The Oakland County Purchasing Division on behalf of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioners (WRC) office is soliciting bids for inspection, maintenance, and repair services for elevators located at various WRC locations throughout Oakland County.
The Scope of Work is to provide normal routine and preventative maintenance on WRC vertical transportation systems, listed in Attachment C, based on the State of Michigan elevator codes. The work required of the contractor consists of all labor, equipment, and incidentals required to maintain these elevators and their associated systems and equipment. Minimum inspections should take place every 90 days by a licensed elevator journeyperson. All testing should follow the guidelines listed below in the work performed section.
In addition to routine maintenance of these systems, the contractor shall respond to and be on the scene of all emergency service calls within one-half hour, of the placed emergency request. Emergency request for service shall be defined as any hazardous condition, i.e., trapped passengers, hoist way door sprung open, or similar occurrences.
The contractor shall respond to service requests and be at the scene of all non-emergency calls placed by WRC staff within 48 hours. Non-emergency requests for service shall be defined by any non-hazardous condition or minor functional defects. The vendor shall exhaust all necessary resources to return the elevator to normal service as soon as possible.
