This project includes storm system rehabilitation in several sections in the City of Pontiac. The rehabilitation includes cleaning and televising, as well as structural cured-in-place pipe lining of
approximately 354 lineal feet of storm sewer consisting primarily of reinforced concrete pipe and corrugated metal with Asphalt coating, ranging from 12-inch to 15-inch diameter. This project also
involves the internal sewer spot lining of approximately 48 lineal feet, ranging from 12-inch to 42-inch diameter. As part of this project, 6 storm structures will be removed and replaced. Overall, pavement repair, soil erosion control measures, site restoration, traffic control, and an audio-video route survey will also be required.
A. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, subject to the final approval by the Owner. The Contract will be awarded subject to receipt of funds to finance the project and acquisition of easements, during which time the Bids of the lowest three responsive, responsible Bidders will be held.
B. The party to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to execute the Agreement and obtain the Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond and shall provide proofs of insurance coverage in accordance with the Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days of the delivery date of the Notice of Award to the successful Bidder. The necessary Agreement and Bond forms shall accompany the Notice of Award. If the Contractor awarded the project fails to execute the Agreement, submit the Performance Bond, Labor and Material Bond and
Maintenance and Guarantee Bond and provide proof of insurance coverage in accordance with the Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days of the delivery date of the Notice of Award, Owner may declare the Contractor in default, in which case the Bid Bond accompanying the Bid will be forfeited to Owner.
