Summary of Specifications:
Oakland Schools, a Michigan Intermediate School District (ISD) and two local school districts(Local Education Agency – LEA), Huron Valley Schools and Ferndale Public Schools, are collaborating to obtain a voice over IP (VoIP) solution for their respective sites. The Agreement resulting from this RFP will be executed by Oakland Schools. Oakland Schools’ intent is to allow other Oakland County districts to purchase through the Agreement until June 30, 2015. Throughout the RFP, we will refer to Oakland Schools, Huron Valley Schools and Ferndale Public Schools jointly as “the Owner”. It is the intent for Oakland Schools to enter into an agreement with the successful Vendor for the purchase of the hardware, licensing, components and all services. This project does NOT anticipate separate contracts between the successful Vendor and each participating LEA district currently 2 LEA districts – Huron Valley Schools and Ferndale Public Schools – are participating). As an option, a third LEA (the Pontiac School District) may elect to participate in this selection.Pontiac is seeking proposals for premise-based enterprise telephony solutions and hosted telephony solutions. In the event that Pontiac selects the same solution as Oakland Schools, Huron Valley and Ferndale, the agreement will be as described above with a contract between Oakland Schools and the selected vendor that the Pontiac School District will purchase through. In the event that Pontiac selects a premise-based solution other than that selected by Oakland Schools, Huron Valley and Ferndale, or selects a hosted solution, the agreement will be between the selected vendor and the Pontiac School District directly. Vendors may respond to any or all sections. Vendors may also partner with another provider to supply a complete and turnkey solution. If your response contains proposed services or equipment from multiple providers, all responding parties must be clearly identified and a synopsis of the partner relationship as well as the party that will serve as the prime vendor/contact for the Owner must be detailed. The Owner reserves the right to "unbundle" the responses and proceed with the provider deemed most suitable. The Owner is seeking the best solution(s) to meet its functional requirements and is open to both single vendor and best of breed solution(s).
