A. Project Summary: Provide contracting services proposal for Gerisch Baseball and Softballfield renovations as stated within the attached drawing and RFP documents. 1. Gerisch School,12601 McCann Ave, Southgate, MI 48195
B. Project 1: Fencing
A. Softball
A. Demolition of existing fencing and posts to be performed by the selected contractor.
B. Maintenance gate to be added along with gates entering dugouts/field of play. New backstop to be installed.
C. Backstop
• Base Bid: Remove and replace full backstop. Backstop base 18’-0” high with 6’-0” high angled panels on top. 3” OD galvanized posts and fence mesh to be galvanized 6 gauge. 1-5/8” OD galvanized top, middle, and bottom rail.
• Alternate: Remove and replace rail and wire only. Backstop base 18’-0” high and 6’-0” high angled panels on top. Fence mesh to be galvanized 6 gauge. 1-5/8” OD galvanized top, middle, and bottom rail.
D. New fencing fabric to be installed around dugouts. Remove and replace approximately 120 lf of 6’-0” high galvanized chain link fence around two (2) dugouts. Dugouts do not require new posts and rails.
E. New fencing posts and fabric to be installed in place of existing. Poles to be supplied by the selected contractor. Fencing fabric to be supplied by the district.
• Center field homerun fence to be approximately 220 feet from home plate. Left and right field fence to be approximately 180 feet from home plate.
• Provide and install new 6’-0” high galvanized 9-gauge chain link fence. Terminal posts 3’ OD, line posts 2-1/2” OD, top rail 1-5/8” OD. Pipe to be schedule 40 galvanized.
• Furnish and install new black safety cap.
• Two (2) foul poles to be supplied and installed by contractor. Height to be 20’-0” high painted in high yellow.
B. Baseball
A. Demolition of existing fencing and posts to be performed by the selected contractor.
B. Maintenance vehicle gate to be added along with gates entering dugouts.
C. Backstop:

D. Baselines
• Extend existing 4’ high chain link fence along first and third baselines to 6’ high. Lengthen fence line out to connect with new foul pole and relocated home run fence. Include new 10’ wide double swing gate.
• Material to be 6’-0” high galvanized 9 gauge chain link fence. Terminal posts 3” OD, Line Posts: 2-1/2” OD, Top Rail: 1-5/8” OD. Pipe to be schedule 40 galv. • Includes new black plastic safety capping.
E. Outfield Fence
• Remove and salvage top rail. Remove and dispose of existing outfield fence posts and post footings. New outfield fence to be approximately 50 lf behind the existing fence. Furnish and install new outfield fence posts and post footings.
• Install district supplied 6’ high galvanized chain link fence mesh and thesalvaged top rail. Add additional/new fence mesh and rail as needed.
• Material to be as follows, Terminal posts: 3” OD, Line posts 2-1/2” OD, Top rail: 1-5/8” OD, Pipe to be schedule 40 galv.
• Includes new black plastic safety capping.
• Furnish and install two (2) new 20’ high yellow foul poles.
C. Project 2: Concrete
A. Concrete pad to be poured in both home and visitor dugouts for baseball and softball.
B. Existing concrete and asphalt pathway to be removed and replaced with 6” concrete. In addition, a concrete pathway to be installed leading to bleachers.
C. Concrete approach pad to be installed leading to ballfields for maintenance access.
D. Project 3: Bleachers and Benches Items:
A. New aluminum benches for softball and baseball to be supplied and installed. Existing benches to be removed by contractor.
B. Two new sets of bleachers for softball to be installed. Seating requirements include six (6) rows of twenty (20) ft wide.
