19-2968A - Bus Inspection Services

The Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) is seeking a qualified firm to complete bus inspection services. The bus inspection services are required to comply with the Federal Transit Administration’s Post Delivery Review encompassing the Buy America Certification requirements and the Purchasers Requirement Certification covering specification compliance and resident inspector’s reports.   SMART has awarded a contract to Champion Bus Company located at 331 Graham Rd. Imlay City, MI 48444 for the purchase of Twenty-seven (27) -  23 foot Gasoline Cutaway buses and Ten (10) -  23 foot Propane powered cutaway buses which are scheduled to begin production July 15, 2019.   SMART is seeking the services of a resident inspector to both perform the necessary on site inspection services and to complete documentation required per FTA requirements for both group of buses.
 
The price shall be a firm fixed price and shall include all labor and materials, travel and related expenses, and any and all other incidentals or necessities to perform the work under this contract.
