Summary of Specifications:
The SUBURBAN MOBILITY AUTHORITY FOR REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION (SMART) is a Public Authority created pursuant to ACT 204, Michigan Public Acts of 1967, as amended, and is empowered to provide public transportation in Southeastern Michigan. SMART is seeking proposals for optical insurance coverage for its employees. Proposers are being asked to bid on current fully-insured benefit levels as well as any creative plan designs that include the current minimum benefits. Additionally, proposers may provide a self-funded proposal that matches the existing plan design and includes fully transparent charges to SMART. All proposals must be submitted with a complete benefit summary, whether insured or self funded. Any deviations from the current benefits must be clearly noted in your proposal(s). 4/1/17 THROUGH 3/31/20, with the option of extending for two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the Authority’s discretion.
