The Southeastern Oakland County Water Authority (SOCWA) is accepting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to rehabilitate approximately 5,385 lineal feet of 16-inch cast iron water main along Coolidge Highway from just south of 13 Mile Road to just south of 14 Mile Road. Alternate methods of rehabilitation/construction can be proposed, are encouraged, and may be considered and potentially accepted if in the best interest of SOCWA. Sealed proposals will be received by SOCWA at the Administration Office, 3910 W. Webster Road, Royal Oak, MI 48073 until EXACTLY 3:00:00 P.M. Local Time, FEBRUARY 8, 2018, at which time and place the names of submitting proposers will be publicly opened and read.
Proposers shall review and comply with the Instructions to Proposers, which are incorporated by reference and located in Attachment A – Project Manual, and carefully review all Contract Documents, as defined in the Instructions to Proposers. Proposals submitted after the exact time specified for receipt, will not be considered.
The Contract will consist of the following principal items of work and appurtenances as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings.
Description of Work:
Clean, televise, and rehabilitate 5,385 lineal feet of 16-inch cast iron transmission main, install four (4) new 16-inch diameter gate valve and wells, install two (2) new blow-off valve and wells, provide post-construction inspection and testing, and restore disturbed areas to contract requirements.
Copies of Project Manual, Contract Drawings, and Proposal Forms (Procurement Documents) shall be available on or after January 18, 2018 at the offices of Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 555 Hulet Drive, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan 48302-0360.
A non-refundable payment of EIGHTY ($80.00) Dollars, CHECK ONLY, payable to “Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc.” will be required for each set of Procurement Documents. Procurement Documents can be shipped by U.P.S. ground for a shipping and handling charge of TWENTY ($20.00) Dollars, CHECK ONLY, non-refundable, to Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. The Proposer is advised that to submit a proposal on this project, the Proposer must have purchased a set of Procurement Documents from Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc.
