Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Bids for the construction/improvement of particular water main sites will be received by the Village of Dundee, at the office of the Village Manager, 350 West Monroe Street, Dundee, MI 48131 until 4:00 P.M. local time on May 27, 2015, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing/improving the following locations: Main St. - Between Dunham and Railroad Streets -17 services will be replaced and connected to the existing 12" W.M. One hydrant will be relocated from the existing 6" W.M. which is being abandoned and connected to the existing 12" W.M. Three hydrants will be removed and replaced along the same section. Tie-ins at Dunham St. will use approximately 67 L.F. of 12" W.M. to connect the existing 6" W.M. to the existing 12" W.M. Tie-ins at Railroad St. will use approximately 67 L.F. of 8" W.M. to connect the existing 4" W.M. to the existing 12" W.M. Monroe St. - From Oak Street to 600'�} east of 1st Street. -26 services will be replaced and connected to the existing 12" W.M. An existing hydrant will be removed and two new hydrants will be added to the existing 12" W.M. Tie-ins at Oak St. will use approximately 125 L.F. of 12" W.M. to connect the existing 6" W.M. to the existing 12" W.M. Tie-ins at 1st Street will use approximately 56 L.F. of 6" W.M. to connect the existing 12" W.M. to the existing 6" W.M. Oak St. - From Monroe Street to 605'�} south of Sidney Street. -28 services will be replaced and connected to the existing and proposed 12" W.M. An extension of approximately 598 L.F. of 12" W.M. is proposed from Sidney Street south to the end of the project. This extension will replace the existing 6" W.M. One hydrant will be relocated and two new hydrants will be added. Tie-ins at Cresent St. will use approximately 70 L.F. of 8" W.M. to connect the existing 4" W.M. to the existing 12" W.M. **NOTE** Due to limited information regarding existing utilities at the connection areas, no profiles have been provided for those areas. A profile has been provided for the 12" extension on Oak Street south of Sidney Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a total sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
