CDBG-2025.1 - Removal of Asbestos Containing Materials

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that bids for removal of Asbestos Containing materials at 18 W. Burdick Street Oxford, MI 48371 will be accepted in the Office of the Village Manager, 22 W. Burdick, Oxford, MI  48371 or via email at manager@thevillageofoxford.org until 3:00 p.m. February 5, 2025. Bids will be tabulated in the Oxford Community room, 22 W. Burdick at 3:01 p.m., 2025.

The work will consist of removal of ACM as listed in the November 2023 Asbestos Survey Report and a small number of similar fittings in an adjoining mechanical room. Those materials are:

Friable materials identified:

1. Pipe Wrap on all 2” to 4” round plumbing fittings throughout basement tested at 4.75% Chrysotile Asbestos-55 fittings in poor to fair condition.
2. Pipe Wrap on all 2” to 4” round plumbing fittings in adjacent furnace room adjoining 18 and 20 W. Burdick Street. This location and fitting count is not listed in the 2023 building survey. There are approximately 8 small fittings.

1. 9” x 9” floor tiles located under the existing commercial carpet in Office III, VI, V and the (North) General Office Area tested at 2.5% Chrysotile Asbestos-998 SF of surface area in poor to fair condition.
2. Vinyl sheet flooring near wet bar in (North) General Office Area tested at 20% Chrysotile Asbestos-<100 SF of surface area in fair condition.
3. Vinyl cladding on staircase to basement tested at 1.75% Chrysotile Asbestos-<100 SF of surface area in good condition.
