The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain bids from qualified CONTRACTORS to provide the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to re-construct two, nearby segments of the Border-to-Border Trail (B2B) in the Ypsilanti Area. The B2B is typically an 8-10 foot wide paved trail. The first project is located in Frog Island Park and is approximately 1400 linear feet long. The second project is located in along the west side of Grove Road north of I-94 to approximately 141 S. Grove Street and is approximately 2000 linear feet long. Work included in the combined projects involves removal of existing pavements, installation of HMA, aggregate, concrete flatwork and curb, pavement marking, earthwork, modular retaining wall, site restoration, signs, guardrail, and other related work.
All requirements and specifications as described in the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) “2012 Standard Specifications for Construction” and “MDOT Road and Bridge Standard Plans”, or as adopted by the Michigan Department of Transportation, shall be adhered to unless otherwise stated in the proposal.
Bidders must complete the Experience and Qualifications section of this RFP. Based on the response to this RFP, including, experience, ability, financial standing, and bid prices submitted, the County will select a CONTRACTOR that it considers will best provide the required services.
