8687 - NETWORK SUPPORT SERVICES

The Contractor will provide as-needed service related to Washtenaw County’s network infrastructure support. The services will include working independently under the direction of county staff and/or assist county staff in achieving, but not limited to the following:
·    Perform overall network health check and provide report of findings

• Serve as network architecture resources
• Help identify and prioritize immediate priorities for network support and improvement
• Assist in updating the 5-year plan to ensure ongoing reliability and security of the County’s network
• Support ongoing network projects
• Assist in troubleshooting networking issues
• Help ensure best practices for network security
• Assist with Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery
• Update and maintain network documentation
• Mentor and educate existing employees to transfer knowledge
• Monitor performance and make upgrade recommendations using management or monitoring tools
• Recommend configuration changes and network upgrades as required
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure and network monitoring tools and hardware as required or directed
• Provide 24/7 support
• Demonstrated ability to fully manage all aspects of projects
• Excellent partner relationship skills as shown through project and day to day activities
• Advanced technical skills with the ability to plan, architect and implement complex technology systems
• Assist in the support of the Network Access Control (NAC) system.
