RFP-6243 - Risk Management Consultant for Washtenaw County

Summary of Specifications:
The Washtenaw County Risk Management Coordinator intends to continue work with a Risk Management Consultant to continue improvement of the Risk Management Program currently in place at Washtenaw County.  The initial contract for professional services will be for approximately three years starting January 1, 2006 and ending on December 31, 2010. The contract will have two – 1 year options to renew.  B. Scope of Work to be Performed  The Consultant would be required to assist Washtenaw County through its Risk Management Coordinator, with claims management, insurance, prevention and safety. Washtenaw County does not work with any outside Third Party Administrator’s, except under the Worker’s Compensation Program. The County manages all of its claims including reporting, assigning counsel, monitoring, attending depositions and attending court hearings. There is approximately 1300 hours per year the consultant would spend working with the County and Risk Management Coordinator.
