7921 - SNEEZE GUARDS FOR VOTING PRECINCTS

The Washtenaw County Clerk/Register’s office is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide transparent “sneeze guard” barriers for use in voting precincts.

The barrier shall act as a “sneeze guard” divider which will be situated on/above common folding tables in-between voters who are usually standing on one side and poll workers who are sitting on the other side of the table.

It is anticipated that a quantity of barriers will be purchased to allow for the products to fully span a minimum of one and maximum of two common folding tables (6-8 feet in length) in 150 voting precincts. Barriers may either be sized to fit a section of a common folding table or span an entire table.

The barrier must be of sufficient size so that the top is at minimum 46 inches above the height of a common folding table.

The barrier must be convenient to assemble, disassemble and transport.

The barrier must have a gap that allows for paperwork to be passed between individuals on either side.

The barrier must be free-standing with footings placed either on the floor or on the table that the barrier will be situated over. Footings must allow for the barrier to remain stable above common folding tables which may not be perfectly flat.

No portion of the barrier shall present a hazard or potential injury issue, including sharp edges, snares or protrusions that can potentially cut or scratch a person.

The contractor must provide a safety barrier solution which is new; generally available; i.e. not in beta or test; and currently in production and in use in a client environment as proposed. Prototypes or items in test production and not formally announced for market availability shall not be accepted.

Delivery must occur to a County facility in or near Ann Arbor, Michigan by no later than July 27, 2020.

The contractor shall provide some form of warranty on the products acquired for a minimum of 6 months from date of acceptance of the completed order.
