RFP 6254 - Spray Pad Resurfacing Projects

Summary of Specifications:


The Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission invites proposals for installation of splash pad surfacing at two existing County Park Facilities. Required services include removal of existing poured in place rubber surfacing and installation of approximately 9100 SF of new replacement safety surfacing specifically engineered and warranted for aquatic amusement applications. Surfacing systems proposals are subject to Owner approval and must comply with owner specifications and requirements as indicated in bid documents. Installed systems must be unconditionally warranted against both surfacing material and labor defects for five years following spray pad resurfacing completion. The Commission requires the surfacing replacement project work to be completed by May 15, 2006 to allow for owner startup operations in advance of the May 27th water playground openings for the 2006 summer operating system. Owner seeks proposals from professional manufacturer product certified installers only. Bidders are permitted to submit up to three (3) different surfacing system proposals. However, separate bid forms must accompany each proposal.
