205380 - FOR RUNWAYS 5R/23L AND 9/27 DECOUPLING – PHASE 1 FOR WILLOW RUN AIRPORT

The Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) is soliciting bids from general contractors, construction managers and other businesses for the Runways 5R/23L and 9/27 Decoupling – Phase 1 (Project) at Willow Run Airport (YIP). This project includes work associated with: removal of approximately 55,000 square yards of Portland cement concrete and asphalt airfield pavement, with associated electrical, drainage, signs, and utility work, construction of approximately 24,000 square yards of new taxiway Portland cement concrete pavement and 16,000 tons of asphalt pavement and base with associated electrical, installation of approximately 3,500 lineal feet of storm sewer, earthwork, signs, and utility work in accordance with the drawings, specifications and other Contract Documents.  It is anticipated that this Project will start construction in the spring of 2021, and be completed during the construction season of 2021, and be partially funded through the federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP).  (The Contract resulting from this solicitation is subject to Davis-Bacon Act Wages Requirements.)
