Summary of Specifications:
Quotes are being solicited for Jet-A & Avgas above ground tank inspections, as-needed maintenance services and parts for the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority). The contract will be for a one (1) year term with a one (1) year renewal option, exercisable by the Airport Authority CEO. This is a Rebid. 1) PROJECT OVERVIEW: Through this Solicitation for Quotes (SFQ), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit quotes to provide annual inspections of Willow Run Airport’s six (6) 50,000 gallon Jet-A and one (1) 30,000 gallon Avgas above ground fuel storage tanks, and to furnish and install Velcon vessel filters and prove the three (3) meters annually, and provide corrective repair services and parts on an as-needed basis. Parts for deicing tanks at Detroit Metro Airport will also be purchased on an as-needed basis. The fueling farm at Willow Run Airport was constructed in approximately 2001 and contains Aviation Jet-A fuel, Avgas, diesel fuel and gasoline and is inspected annually by the State of Michigan and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure that the Airport Authority is compliance with FAA Part 139 Regulations and ATA-103 Requirements. There are no catwalks at the facility. The successful Respondent (Contractor) will be required to provide an aerial boom lift JLG 800AJ or equal (aerial boom lift) for access to tanks during the annual inspections and their own fall protection equipment. The Airport Authority reserves the sole right to determine what constitutes an equal. The Respondent must also supply all other safety equipment.
