Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Bids (RFB), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Bids for replacement man doors, locks, handles, closers, frames and other miscellaneous related supplies on an as-needed basis for Detroit Metro Airport and Willow Run Airports. The Airport Authority owns, operates and leases buildings throughout the Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports. The successful Bidder will be responsible for providing the Airport Authority with items similar to the ones listed on the Price Form included in this RFB. The Airport Authority maintains a small stock of these items, however, the primary purpose of the resulting contract will be for just-in-time pick up of hardware, components, passage doors, man doors, locks and related supplies to be used for the repair ingress and egress openings located throughout the Airport Authority. Due to the nature of these items, and to facilitate emergency needs, the Airport Authority staff is often required to pick up the required items. Accordingly, successful Bidder must maintain a fully stocked facility located within 25 miles of Detroit Metro Airport. Installation will be completed by Airport Authority personnel.
