Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Proposals to supply natural gas for the Wayne County Airport Authority for the period of June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2020. The Airport Authority purchases natural gas for the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Willow Run Airport. Currently, DTE Gas Company transports natural gas from the primary point of delivery to the point of use under three (3) contracts: ST for Willow Run Airport (ACQ = 42,800 MMBTU, MDQ = 376 MMBTU), LT for Detroit Metro Airport (ACQ = 244,500 MMBTU, MDQ = 4,727 MMBTU) and a Master Account Aggregated Transportation Service Agreement.
Gas will be purchased for the time frames recommended by the Authority. The Contractor shall act as supplier/agent for the Airport Authority, providing best cost resources and expertise in natural gas and alternate energy markets. See Attachment A for monthly usage history over the past three (3) years.
