RFP-140058 - Stormwater Pump and Pumpstation Evaluation

Summary of Specifications:
INTRODUCTION: Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide Stormwater Pump and Pumpstation Evaluation and Related Services at Detroit Metropolitan and Willow Run Airports (Airports). 

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Airport Authority is seeking a qualified firm to evaluate the operational status of 59 high-volume, low-head stormwater pumps (and associated electrical equipment) located in 13 separate stormwater pumpstations currently operating at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). These pumps and assoicated electrical equipment range in age from five (5) to 40 years old. The Airport Authority desires to identify pumps and electrical gear (if any) that has exceeded its useful life to the point that replacement or rehabilitation may be necessary in the future. Evaluation of the condition of buildings that house the pumps, including associated equipment such as fans and discharge structures will also be a component of this project.
