Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Proposals for providing the following computer technology and telephony support services at a fixed price for: • Call Center • Desk Side • Server and Network Management The purpose of the above services is to provide customer service for break/fix activities, high system availability and access, and system maintenance, both preventative and predictable and related routine tasks. These baseline services will be provided at a fixed monthly price. Additionally, the Airport Authority, during this contract, will initiate projects that enhance and extend the use of information technology in support of the business. These optional on-demand projects represent a second category of capability required of the Proposer and is discussed later in this document. On-demand projects will be approved based on the project scope and the defined rate structure proposed on the Price Form. The Airport Authority will evaluate all proposals to determine the best fit for the Airport Authority. The Airport Authority currently has a staff of approximately 625 active employees organized into operating departments tasked with supporting both Detroit Metropolitan and Willow Run Airports. Many of the departments are typical of any business — Administration, Finance, HR, Legal — and some are unique to running an airport — Airfield Operations, Landside Services, Parking Administration. The Technology Services department has the responsibility of providing computer and infrastructure services to support the business of the Airport Authority through these departments.
