The Charter Township of West Bloomfield is requesting proposals from qualified professional communications specialist, responsible for developing and executing strategic and effective communication plans to address internal and external material for West Bloomfield Township organization.
Under the general direction of the Supervisor and Staff, the Communications & Engagement Specialist assists with developing and implementing communication, marketing, and outreach campaigns and programs on behalf of West Bloomfield Township. This position works collaboratively with other departments to help advance the Township’s digital and in-person engagement and public participation. They bring skills in marketing, communications, and creative community engagement to build multi-faceted relationships with neighborhoods, community groups, businesses, and agencies through a variety of media sources, including social media, special events, volunteerism and programming.
