Notice is hereby given that separate sealed proposals will be received by the Morris County Park Commission (the “Park Commission”) on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the prevailing times noted below, at the Morris County Park Commission Administration Building, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey, for the furnishing and delivery of the following one (1) year contracts: 10:00 A.M. - CONTRACT NO. 7-12 - GREENS TOP DRESSING 10:45 A.M. - CONTRACT NO. 3-12 - GRASS SEED 11:30 A.M. - CONTRACT NO. 2-12 - AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000.00) of the total bid, payable to the Morris County Park Commission, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder he will enter into a contract with the Park Commission. BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED BY MAIL OR IN PERSON on the proposal forms provided in the manner designated therein. Each bid shall be enclosed in a separate sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “Sealed Bid Material”, “Response Enclosed” with the name and address of the Bidder and the Contract Title and Number and addressed as follows: Morris County Park Commission; P.O. Box 1295; 353 East Hanover Avenue; Morristown, New Jersey 07962-1295; Attn: Peggy Marcketta; Purchasing Agent Manager. In the case of a bid being submitted by mail, the mailed bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope with the aforesaid language on it, and that envelope containing the bid is to be placed in a mailing envelope. The outside of the mailing envelope shall contain the same aforesaid language. Bidders choosing to submit bids by mail assume all liability and responsibility for the timely receipt of the bid as required by the bid specifications. No bid will be accepted, either by personal delivery or by mail unless it is received by the Morris County Park Commission by the date, time and at the location required by the bid documents. Any bids received after the designated date and time will not be considered and will be returned to sender unopened. Bids requiring Material Safety Data Sheets and products labels must be provided at the time the bids are accepted. Contract Documents for the proposed work are on file at the Park Commission Administration Building, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey. All bids to be considered must be submitted on the forms obtainable at the Park Commission Administration Building on or after December 8, 2011, during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday. The Park Commission shall not be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source. The above information will also be accessible from the Morris County Park Commission’s website at www.morrisparks.net under the “Public Bids//Vendor Registration” link. EACH BIDDER MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT WITH THE BID the Consent of Surety, Ownership Disclosure Statement, Affirmative Action Assurance Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Bid Form and Bid Guarantee. It is requested that all bidders submit with the bid a copy of the State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate. The successful bidder shall comply with the Affirmative Action Requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Award will be made through a fair and open process pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19.44A-20.4.
