Summary of Specifications:
Notice is hereby given that separate sealed proposals will be received by the Morris County Park Commission at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Morris County Park Commission Administration Building, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey, for the furnishing and delivery of the following item in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents: PARTS AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR TURF AND PARK MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT.
It is the intent of these specifications to establish the minimum requirements for qualified contractors to perform such needed repair services at locations throughout the Morris County Park Commission on behalf of the Park Commission or at the contractor’s location, as may be required during the contract period. Additionally, the contractor will also directly sell and ship specified parts to the Park Commission for use by its employees for Morris County Park Commission owned and operated equipment.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of $250.00, payable to the Morris County Park Commission, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder he will enter into a contract with the Park Commission. BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED BY MAIL OR IN PERSON on the proposal forms provided in the manner designated therein, and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “Sealed Bid” with the bid number 31-13 and title “Parts and Repair Services for Turf and Park Maintenance Equipment” noted. Bids must be mailed or presented to Ms. Peggy Marcketta, Purchasing Agent Manager, Morris County Park Commission, P.O. Box 1295, Morristown, New Jersey 07962-1205. Bidders choosing to submit bids by any means other than in person at the published time for the bid opening will assume all liability for the timeliness of their receipt. No bids will be accepted after the published opening date and time.
Contract Documents for the proposed work are on file at the Park Commission Administration Building, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township, New Jersey. All bids to be considered must be submitted on the forms obtainable at the Park Commission Administration Building on or after Thursday, January 10, 2013 during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday. The above information will also be accessible from the Morris County Park Commission’s website at www.morrisparks.net under the “Public Bids//Vendor Registration” link. The Park Commission shall not be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source.
EACH BIDDER MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT WITH THE BID the Ownership Disclosure Statement, Affirmative Action Assurance Form, and Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the Contract Documents. It is requested that all bidders submit with the bid a copy of the State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate. The successful Bidder shall comply with the Affirmative Action Requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Award will be made through a fair and open process pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19.44A-20.4.
