18-17 - Municipal Building Roof Replacement

The new work generally consists of the removal of slate roof tiles and replacement with asphalt
shingles, removal of low slope built up roofing and the installation of TPO roofing, the reconstruction
of the existing cupola and clock, and the installation of a new canopy over the Police lower level
entrance. The project does include alternate bids which are clearly explained on the drawings and
specifications.
Completion dates noted on the bid form and time of completion are for the Spring 2019 since the
weather may become problematic at the onset of this job. However, it is the desired by the client that
work is completed as soon as feasible. On site work may begin immediately, if possible. The
contractor will be expected to attempt to complete as much work as possible before the temperate
reaches below 40 degrees F on a regular basis.
