LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Township of Verona, New Jersey shall receive sealed proposals at the Municipal Building, 600 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, New Jersey, until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Conference Room for
Contract # 18-12, “SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES”
Copies of the specifications and contract documents for the proposed work may be obtained by any prospective bidder on the internet at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-jersey/townshipofverona. Specifications and contract documents are on file and open to public inspection at the Township Manager’s Office, 600 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, New Jersey on and after September 13, 2018 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. Bid documents cannot be obtained at the Township Manager’s Office.
Each proposal must be made upon the prescribed forms furnished with the contract specifications. Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Money Order or Cashier’s Check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said check or bond need not be more than $20,000.00.
Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the bidder and shall be addressed to the
TOWNSHIP CLERK’S OFFICE, and delivered at the place and hour mentioned above. Envelope or Package must be clearly endorsed,

- This solicitation will be awarded via a Fair and Open Process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq.
- Bidder must be registered with the State of New Jersey at time of the award of the contract. Bidders will be required to present a copy of their Business Registration Certificate (BRC).
- Bidders must provide an Ownership Disclosure Affidavit with bid proposal, failure to provide the same is a non-waivable defect.
- Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
- Bidders must be registered with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and possess a certificate of public convenience and necessity and an approval letter issued in conformance with N.J.S.A. 13:1E-126 at the time of bid.
