The Project includes the following Work: This project includes the reconstruction of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. beginning at the north sideline of 7 th Street and north approximately 5,247.06 feet (0.99 miles) to approximately 66 feet south of the intersection with W. 21 st Street at existing PCCP. Roadway improvements for this project includes, but are not limited to: - 5,247.06 feet (0.99 miles) of roadway reconstruction, which includes the replacement of the existing pavement and base course with 5 inches of HMA SP IV over 10 inches of base course, in addition to lime treated subgrade as part of the subgrade preparation. - Permanent signing and striping improvements throughout the entire project length. - Driveway and side road connections. - The installation of new concrete curb and gutter. - The construction of new ADA-compliant sidewalks adjacent to both sides of the roadway-the replacement of existing traffic signals at both the 7 th Street and 21st Street intersections, including the replacement of the existing school flashers with new flasher systems at the northbound and southbound approach to Cesar Chavez. - The installation / resetting of current street lighting. - Drainage improvements for this project will include the construction of a new concrete lined channel to replace the existing Worthington ditch, which is located adjacent to the roadway, and the installation of sidewalk culverts along the west side of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. This project will also include the replacement / relocation of existing roadway drainage facilities throughout the project limits. - Utility improvements for this project will include the adjustment and/or relocation of both public and private utilities.
