Summary of Specifications:
Work Included A. The work under this section shall include the furnishing of all items shown as specified. The following areas will include separate bids on: 1. Casework A as shown in the attached drawings 2. Casework B as shown in the attached drawings 3. Casework C as shown in the attached drawings 4. Installation of casework 5. Total for complete project. All Casework Will A. Be constructed of cabinet grade birch plywood with applied cherry wood veneer. B. Color to match 7484-58, cherry birch by formica or equal C. All low pressure laminate slatwall panels with MDF substrate to have brushed aluminum finish. D. All glass panels and doors to be 3/8 inch heat tempered safety glass. E. Provide ‘track lighting” MSL-300 low voltage lighting systems with MR11 FTD 20 watt halogen lamp. 24” track shall have 3 mounting clips and 72” track shall have 6 mounting clips (non glass substrate) ate each vertical post of all casework. F. Power supply shall be PS-150 with 12 volt side terminal block and PRW-13 power cord with inline thumb switch by display case showcase or equal. G. All glass doors will have heavy duty pivot hinges and built in cam locks (ASSA V-10 series #V7571 – coordinate with owner) H. Casework “A” ceiling to be 1” x 1” square molded fiberglas grating (McNichols model no. MS S-100 or equal). I. All top surfaces not glass, shall be plastic laminate veneer – (color to match 299-58 “Ebony Oxide by formica or equal). J. Six-light polished chrome vanity bathroom fixture equal to design classics lighting #126CHJM606CH K. The core wood for the cabinets is veneer: 1. The slat board shall be MDF based product with a HPL Brushed Aluminum Face & Brushed Aluminum Inserts in the slots. 2. A substitute bid item shall be included to replace the MDF slat board with aluminum slat boards Installation A. All installation will be conducted in accordance with State and City Code or Ordinances. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits related to this project. Quality Assurance A. Contractor shall have a minimum of 2 years experience in the design and fabrication of cabinets and casework displays. B. Installation shall be done by a qualified contractor or cabinet of display case contractor with no less than 2 years experience. Delivery, Storage, and Handling A. All components and accessories necessary for the assembly and install the display cases shall arrive at the project site complete (no missing pieces) B. Store all materials and components according to building storage instructions above ground, separated, and protected from exposure to the elements & from physical damage caused by other activities. C. During storage, space surfaces of materials to permit free circulation of air. D. Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results.
