Summary of Specifications:
It is the purpose of these specifications to describe a Truck Mounted Regenerative Air Sweeper with Twin Gutter Brooms and Dual Steering equipped for normal municipal street sweeping purposes with a minimum hopper capacity of six (6) cubic yards, with the following minimum specifications considered necessary to perform the work assigned, will be the product of a manufacturer actively engaged in the production of air street sweepers, and will embody their latest improvements in design and construction.. All equipment furnished under this contract shall be new and similar to the manufacturer’s current production models unless otherwise specified. The unit shall conform to the best practice known to the trade in design, quality of material and workmanship. All assemblies and component parts shall be standard and interchangeable with replacement parts stocked and maintained by manufacturers.
Manufacturer’s printed literature shall be submitted with the bid. The successful bidder shall include all parts not specifically mentioned, but required. These specifications are not intended to design the equipment or relieve the bidder of design responsibility for a proper operating unit.
The successful bidder shall guarantee against defective materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) full year, unless a longer warranty period is accorded to the industry in general. Components, parts or materials found to be defective shall be repaired or replaced at no cost to the City of Clovis for parts, labor or travel time.
In regards to these specifications the City is requesting bids on diesel-powered units for truck and sweeper unit.
