Summary of Specifications:
1. Construct a New Multi-Purpose Addition to include the following: a. Performing Arts Classroom/Multi-Purpose Classroom Addition, with basketball and volleyball court markings. b. Performing Arts Stage with ramp access. c. Retractable bleachers with a seating capacity of 350. d. Physical Education Equipment: 4 retractable basketball goals (elec.). 1 Volleyball net with accessories. Wall pads below Basketball goals. Divider curtain. e. Theater Equipment: Draperies (Operable house curtain, fixed borders and legs), retractable projection screen and stage lights. f. Other equipment: Portable choral risers. g. Building System: Conventional steel roof framing and CMU bearing walls, with 20-foot minimum clear interior height, slab on grade, rubber sports flooring, exposed roof structure, EIFS exterior, and a fully-adhered TPO roof system over rigid insulation. h. Mechanical System: Gas-fired furnace and evaporative cooling. i. Bid Alternate: Provide a wood gym floor.
2. Renovate the existing Old Gym to include the following: a. Renovate the existing Old Gym to house one ITV Classroom, Media Center and Media Center Office/Workroom. b. Provide a second east-west corridor. c. Renovate the old locker rooms to house one Computer Labs, Table Storage and a Technology Prep/Server Room. d. Renovate the mechanical, electrical and special systems. e. Bid Alternate: Renovate the two toilet rooms to the south, with ADA Accessibility and finishes.
3.Renovate the existing Classroom HVAC system: a. Remove existing gas-fired ceiling furnaces, closet furnaces and radiant heaters in the Middle School and High School wings and the Home Ec/Computer Labs south of the Kitchen. b. Provide new HVAC system and distribution systems in the Middle School and High School wings and the Home Ec/Computer Labs south of the Kitchen. c. Bid Alternate: Provide new DDT controls to all areas of work.
