RFP-2021-037 - Design and Construction Administration Services for Gifford Hollow Rd (BIN 3300)

The County of Albany is seeking proposals for design and construction administration services for Gifford Hollow Rd. over Tributary to the Switzkill (BIN 3300960) Culvert Rehabilitation Project as requested by the Department of Public Works.
The intent of these specifications is to furnish information to responsible proposers for the purpose of obtaining proposals to retain a NYS licensed engineer to provide complete design and construction administration services as outlined in the Section 4: Scope of Services for the rehabilitation of the Gifford Hollow Rd. Culvert (BIN 3300960), being located in the Town of Berne. (see sight map for actual location)
The proposed Culvert Rehabilitation Project will consist of repairing the deteriorated fascia of both the inlet and outlet of the existing concrete box culvert. The extent of the deteriorated concrete shall be determined by non-destructive testing methods. The repairs shall include drilling and grouting in new re-bar as required to attach the new concrete to the existing box culvert. The new concrete shall be designed to house new culvert rail (including cast in place anchor bolts). The design engineer will also procure all required permits, including any environmental permits required to complete the project (i.e. NYSOPRHP, NYSDEC, U.S. Army Corps, etc.). The County will sign and forward permit applications to the appropriate agency.
