RFP-2013-121 - Non-Secure Detention Services

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Albany is seeking proposals for Non-Secure Detention Services as requested by Albany County Department for Children, Youth and Families. 

Albany County is requesting proposals to provide Non-Secure Detention Services. Per Title 9 of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York, detention is defined as “…the temporary care and maintenance, away from their homes, of children held pursuant to article three or seven of the Family Court Act…” A youth may also be referred to detention care by a peace officer who has taken the child into custody pursuant to section 718, 721, or 723 and the officer has complied with section 724 of the Family Court Act. All non-secure detention facilities must be certified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
