City of Amsterdam (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
2024 Building Demolition Program
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City Clerk’s Office located at City Hall, 61 Church St Amsterdam NY 12010, until May 24th,2024 at 10:30 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Demolition and removal of structures to 2ft below grade located at 127 Division St and 158 Division St as well as the removal of the debris from a previous demolition effort located at 11 Edson St and 95 Grove St. At all sites the sewer shall be plugged, the site regraded and restored using a native meadow mix. The buildings will be demolished per NYSDOL ICR-56 11.5 – Controlled Demolition with Asbestos in Place. A NYSDOL City wide variance is in place. The structures included in the project have been deemed “Unsafe to Enter” by City of Amsterdam Fire Department.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. If shipping is requested, the Contractor to provide the City with FedEx or UPS account information. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, electronic documents on USB flash drive will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:

Pre-bid Conference
