PURCHASE & DELIVERY OF #2 HEATING OIL
FOR BYRAM HILLS CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT’S OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE BUILDING, TRANSPORTATION BUILDING AND DISTRICT OFFICE BUILDING.

Through this Request for Competitive Bid (RFB), the Byram Hills Central School District, hereinafter referred to as the “District”, is seeking competitive bids from responsible and responsive bidder(s) to furnish and deliver fuel for heating. The specific fuel types are described further in the Specifications of Work section below.

The District approximates a purchase of Nine-thousand five hundred and twenty-five (9,525) gallons of No. 2 Heating Oil to heat three (3) buildings in the District. The quantities of fuel oil listed in this bid document are merely estimates of what the District estimates will be required during the contract period. The contractor, by submitting a bid, agrees to furnish all #2 Heating Oil that may be required to fill the needs of the District during the contract period; be it such quantities more or less than the estimated quantities provided in the Specification of Work (Section II.B.1.) found in this bid package or as in the Exhibit A.

CONTRACT TERM: NOVEMBER 15, 2024 THROUGH NOVEMBER 14, 2025. The differential price over the OPIS Oil Price Daily - gross Low (for Newburgh, NY terminal location) shall be binding for the duration of the contract term. The District reserves the right to renew this Contract for up to two (2) additional years, in two consecutive one-year intervals (November 15, 2025 –November 14, 2026, and November 15, 2026 through November 14, 2027), at the same differential price over the Opis Oil Price Daily - gross Low (for Newburgh, NY terminal location) as bid and awarded to Bidder, and upon approval of the District’s Board of Education. Bid renewal shall be subject to any adjustments or agreement between the parties.
