Description

Chautauqua County owns and operates the Chautauqua County Jamestown Airport (JHW) located on the outskirt of Jamestown, New York in the Town of Ellicott. JHW is a small, non-hub regional airport certified under CFR 45 Part 139 for commercial air operations. Commercial air service to/from JHW ceased in January 2018 following termination of an Essential Air Service (EAS) contract with Southern Airways Express. As airport sponsor, Chautauqua County seeks to restore commercial air service to the County’s JHW airport for the benefit of the County and to serve the air travel needs of the regional economy. Pursuant to this objective, the services of a professional aviation services consulting firm are solicited for the purpose of preparing an air services development (ASD) study tailored to the needs of the county and affiliated communities.
