Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities will receive sealed bids for the Taxiway A (East) Rehabilitation
at Chautauqua County Airport/Dunkirk. Such sealed bids must be filed with the Chautauqua County Purchasing
Department located at 3 N. Erie Street, Mayville, NY 14757, PRIOR TO 2:00 PM, April 12, 2023 at which time said
bids will be publicly opened and read.
The base bid project generally consists of profile milling approximately 3,330’ x 40’ of asphalt Taxiway A and
paving asphalt overlay, and crack filling and sealing approximately 1,800’ x 40’ of Taxiway A. The project also
includes pavement markings and turf restoration. The project requires bonding and insurance to the contract
amounts. Prevailing wage rates apply. The project includes a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of
16.6%. The owner is sales tax exempt.

A complete set of Bid Documents, consisting of the Advertisement, Instructions to Bidders, General Provisions, Bid,

150/5370-2G, Technical Specifications, and Contract Drawings, will be available on Monday March 20, 2023, and
may be downloaded from www.empirestatebidsystem.com or may be requested by email from
hamiltom@chqgov.com. Chautauqua County is not responsible for the completeness or accuracy of ITB
documents received from any other source, and the successful bidder shall be subjuct to official County ITB terms
and conditions.
NOTE: Chautauqua County shall not be held responsible for the completeness or accuracy of any bid documents
received by a vendor that were not directly issued to that vendor by the Chautauqua County Purchasing
Department. Any vendor submitting a bid based on incomplete or inaccurate information resulting from
documentation received from any third party, shall not have cause for relief from award or completion of a contract
in accordance with the official documents on file with the Chautauqua County Purchasing Department.

EACH BID ENVELOPE MUST BE PLAINLY MARKED WITH THE PROPOSAL NUMBER AND THE ITEM BID THEREIN.
Chautauqua County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any inconsistencies in, or to
accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
