RequiredServices:
a.The successful bidder shall have the ability to provide repair services at their place of
business, at the Department site and/or at an off-site locationas the job requires.
b.The successful bidder shall provide weekly scheduled “maintenance” calls at Departmentlocations for tires and services. These calls shall be at no cost unless service(s) and/or productsare provided by the vendor as a result of the maintenancecall.
2.Related Tire ServiceFees:
a.Tire Dismounting/Mounting Service Fees–shall include removal and re-installation of therim/wheel and its tire from the vehicle at the County location and/or contractor’s place of
business; the dismounting and removal ofthe tire from the rim/wheel; and subsequent
mounting of the new and/or repaired tire onto the rim/wheel. Fee shall include all rim/wheelpreparation for mounting (i.e. cleaning/conditioning, lubricating/sealant, rotation,etc.).
b.Tire Change Service Fees–shall include removal and re-installation of the rim/wheel and its tirefrom the vehicle at the contractor’s place of business. An additional balancing fee may be requiredwhen Tire Dismounting/Mounting is not involved. Tire rotation is included (when requested) for one or more wheel locations/positions.
c.Tire Disposal Service Fees (All Typical Sizes)–when requested by user, fee shall include localdealer disposal of all typically sized tires for the stated fee (see respective Item/Category). See NYSEnvironmental Conservation Law, Article 27, Title 19, Sections 2-1901 through 1915 for mandatorywaste tire acceptance, non-burial and other relatedrequirements.
d.Tire Disposal Service Fees (all Oversized Tires)–when requested by user, fee shall include local dealer disposal of all oversized tires for the stated fee (see respective Item/Category).See NYS Environmental Conservation Law, Article 27, Title 19, Sections 2-1901 through 1915 for mandatorywaste tire acceptance, non-burial and other relatedrequirements.
e.Valve Stem (Standard) Installation Service Fees-shall include manufacturer’s standard stemlength valve recommendation for the type of tire, rim/wheel and mounting location. Required withall new tires mounted on rim/wheel that has a nearly solid read-wear indicator bars(s), except when deleted per written instruction and /or tire is delivered loose/un-mounted.
f.Valve Stem(Extended/Long) Installation Service Fees–shall include manufacturer’s extended/longstem,valve recommendation for the type of tire,rim/wheel and mounting location.Required with all new tires mounted on rim/wheel that has a nearly solid tread-wear indicatorbars(s), except when deleted per written instruction and /or tire is delivered loose/un-mounted.
g.Wheel Balancing(Dynamic Spin) Service Fees–shall include accurate dynamic spin wheelbalancing on a typical commercial quality balancing machine properly sized for the tire beingbalanced and all required weights.
