DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of the full depth reconstruction of an approximate 1,100 foot long by 75 foot wide section of Parallel Taxiway A. Site work included in this project consists of maintenance and protection of traffic, excavation and removal of the existing pavement section (approximately 5,900 cubic yards), P-209 crushed aggregate base course installation (approximately 6,600 cubic yards), P-401 pavement installation (approximately 5,700 tons), pavement markings, and stormwater improvements.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the 1st Floor Conference Room of the Elmira Corning Regional Airport (276 Sing Sing Road, Horseheads, New York 14845) on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Attendance is not mandatory. However, Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. No allowances will be made because of lack of knowledge of the site and/or project conditions. The Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective
