Mandatory Testing Required by October 21, 2022.
Only those bidders who have conducted plant trial runs and have met the specifications (as judged solely by Chemung County) herein stated, will be considered for award for this Contract. A maximum of three (3) of any one vendor’s products may be evaluated during the trial period.
(a) Testing: In order to be considered for award of this contract, prospective bidders must schedule and complete the required testing on or before October 21, 2022. Testing for each product must be performed at the respective treatment plant.
(b) Record of Test Results: A written record of test results will be provided to vendors who conduct the plant trial run.
(c) Equipment Requirements: Any polymers requiring special equipment or modifications needed to mix the polymer, put into solution or deliver it to the point of application other than that presently existing at the plant will not be considered.
7. Appointments to test a proposed product must be made by contacting Mr. Mike Lanning, Chief Operator, at 607-732-5115 between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M, local time, Monday through Friday.
A staff member will assist the bidder’s representative(s) during the time period of the trial run. Trials will be run for four (4) hours preceded by a maximum of two (2) hours start-up for optimization. Additional trials may be run for any or all submitted polymers at the option of the District. Operational adjustments on all equipment shall be performed by District staff only. The Bidders representatives shall notify District staff of desired adjustments in operation. District staff will perform all sampling and operational adjustments which they deem necessary.
