The City of Albany hereby requests qualifications from qualified Construction Managers and/or Owner’s Representatives (“Respondents”) to provide full time, on-site construction management services in connection with the construction of the Lincoln Park Pool, Bathhouse and associated infrastructure including a new filtration building, stabilization, water line, existing bathhouse stabilization and refurbishment.
The construction management services will be performed on site at the Lincoln Park pool facility for the duration of the construction of the facility. It is expected the selected vendor will be on-site a minimum of 40 hours a week.
The Construction Bid of the facility allows vendors to work up to three shifts per week (M-F) in order for the project to meet deadlines. Respondents must address their capacity to provide services for two additional shifts if shifts are added as necessary for on time completion.
On site construction, management service experience is critical to the project’s success. Respondents shall identify the team members that will be on site for the project and detail their professional experience specific to the scope of this project.
The ensuing contract for these services will commence in or about April 11, 2024 and will terminate on July 31, 2025, with the possibility of one (1) three (3) month extension period.
Lincoln Park is bordered by Delaware Avenue to the west, Eagle Street to the east, Park Avenue to the north and Morton Avenue to the south. Northwest of the park’s bowl, at the top of the embankment overlooking the athletic fields, is the Lincoln Park bath house, built in two phases between 1929 and 1933. Behind the bath house and enclosed by a non-original chain-link fence was the large pool, completed around the same time in 1931. The pool was demolished in the winter of 2023 to prepare the site for construction.
Plan sets and project manuals for the project are located at Bid Postings • Construction of the Lincoln Park Pool... (albanyny.gov).
