DescriptionA - Latest Addendum

The project includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction at the Feura Bush Water Filtration Plant for the General Contract Base Bid of:

Stop Log System (8) - demolition of existing channels and stop log system and installation of new stop logs, channels, and mounting components required for a watertight system;
Influent Valve (1) - demolition of existing 36” influent valve assembly and installation of new valve and new actuator;
Filter Effluent Control Valves (8) - demolition of existing 16” filter effluent control valve assembly and installation of new valves, new actuators, and new flowmeter;
Filter Air Scour Valve (7) - demolition of existing 12” air scour valve assembly and installation of new valves and new actuators (valves and actuators supplied by AWB);
Air Scour Flowmeter (1) - Installation of new flowmeter;
Sluice Gates (8) - demolition of existing 24”x24” filter influent sluice gate assembly and installation of new sluice gates, new actuators, and all necessary components required for watertight gates;
Main Wash Water Valve (1) - demolition of existing 30” main wash water control valve assembly and installation of new main wash valve and new actuator;
Filter Rewash Valves (8) - demolition of existing 10” filter rewash valve assembly and installation of new valves and new actuators;
Filter Wash Water Valve (8) - demolition of existing 24” filter wash valve assembly and installation of new valves and new actuators;
Filter Drain Valves (8) - demolition of existing 30” filter drain valve assembly and installation of new valves and new actuators.

Two (2) Bid Add Alternates under the General Contract, including all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction awarded at the discretion of the Owner include:

Welded Plates at Flange Openings: Welded plates to seal three (3) flange openings on the influent venturi meter;
Upgrade to electro-hydraulic actuators (8): Provide REXA actuators for 16” Filter Effluent Control Valves

All labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction for the Electrical Contract Base Bid of:

Electrical power and communication to valves and gate actuators, breakers in existing panels, all connections, conduit, fittings, wires, CAT6 communication cables, RJ45 ends, hanger and supports, and raceways.

A pre-bid meeting and site walk-through is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10am at the Feura Bush Water Filtration Plant, 501 Old Quarry Road, Feura Bush NY 12067.

Attendance at the pre-bid meeting/site walk-through is required to bid on this project.

Bidders must confirm attendance by sending an email with all attendee names and copies of valid photo identification to Mallory Wright, P.E. at mwright@albanyny.gov by Friday, October 14, 2022.

The site is a closed and secure area, and bidders will only be able to walk the site during the scheduled pre-bid meeting time.
