2021-40 - PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURE/ENGINEERING SERVICES ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH BUILDING EVAL

The City of Albany hereby requests proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide a professional architecture/engineering services related to completing a building evaluation at the St. Joseph’s Church located at 38 Ten Broeck Street, New York. Minority Business Enterprises and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. 1.2 St. Joseph’s Church is located at 38 Ten Broeck Street and opened in 1865. Designed by Patrick Keeley, the building was last used for worship in the 1990s before closing. The building has an estimated gross floor area of 17,250+/- square feet. The building underwent extensive stabilization work in the early 2000s, through a variety of non-profit and governmental entities, led by Historic Albany Foundation. The last full building evaluation was completed prior to this work completed by Historic Albany Foundation. In 2012, the building was transferred to the City of Albany. The building has been broken into several times over the past decade, with the most recent break-in occurring on 10/31/21.
