Description

1. The City of Albany hereby requests proposals from qualified entities to provide neighborhood planning and economic analysis services to the City of Albany. In 2007 the City of Albany completed the Capital South Plan: SEGway to the Future which identified goals and strategies for future revitalization in the South End. Since the adoption of this plan a variety of key changes have taken place including the adoption of Albany’s first comprehensive plan Albany 2030, the adoption of the Unified Sustainable Development Ordinance (USDO), and the creation of the Albany County Land Bank. These and other changes necessitate a review of the 2007 plan in relation to today’s existing conditions and economy using data and economic analysis that will update the strategies proposed to meet the goals of South End residents and stakeholders.
